ORGATEC 2026 will bring the international workspace and contract interiors industry together in Cologne from 27 to 30 October. Around 500 exhibiting companies from approximately 40 countries are expected to present products, solutions and concepts at the international trade fair for workspace and contract solutions. The programme will address the theme “From rooms to relationships: designing spaces in an ever-changing world” through exhibitions, awards, guided tours, discussions and other formats.
“The strong level of international participation, the impressive exhibitor numbers and the encouraging visitor registration figures to date are proof that ORGATEC continues to be a vital platform for the industry, even in a market environment that remains challenging. Now more than ever, we need a leading international trade fair at which companies can develop new business opportunities, network and work together to find solutions to the changes taking place in the world of workspaces and contract interiors,” comments Maik Fischer, Director of ORGATEC. “Visitors to Cologne can look forward to a high-quality showcase that will bring together relevant market segments while addressing important future-focused topics and offering a wealth of inspiration.”

Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival returns
Initiated by Germany’s Interior Business Association, the Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival will take place in Hall 6. Its programme will combine talks, panel discussions, workshops, immersive exhibitions and interactive formats addressing the future of the office, modern working environments and the work culture of tomorrow.
The announced speakers include retired Formula 1 racing driver Ralf Schumacher; Professor of Corporate Communication Dr Miriam Meckel; former world number one tennis player Angelique Kerber; Primo Orpilla, co-founder of Studio O+A; Christian Dzieia, Senior Vice President Workplaces at adidas; and Dr Guzmán de Yarza Blache, Global Design Strategy Lead at JLL Design.
Cologne becomes an extended interior design venue
ORGATEC’s presence will extend beyond the exhibition halls. For the first time, Design Post Köln will cooperate with more than 40 international brands, adding to the trade fair programme and serving as the focal point of idd cologne’s urban-only concept. Brands presenting products at the location as part of ORGATEC will include Flokk, Hund Office, Klöber, Schneeweiss Interior and Wagner Living.
While ORGATEC will focus on workspaces and contract interiors, the independently positioned idd cologne event will broaden the programme to residential interior design through additional exhibition venues, showrooms and store partners across Cologne. Running in parallel, the two events will create a joint interior design week covering modern working environments, professionally designed spaces and private living areas.
