International growth redefines fair’s global footprint

Post-show report • CIFF Guangzhou 2025

CIFF Guangzhou closed its 55th edition on March 31 with record-breaking numbers, reinforcing its status as the largest and most influential furniture fair worldwide. The exhibition saw significant growth across key metrics — exhibitor participation, visitor turnout, and international engagement — underscoring the event’s growing impact on the global furniture supply chain.

Spanning 850,000 square meters, the fair hosted more than 4,900 domestic and international exhibitors, showcasing new product lines and technologies to 363,825 professional visitors from 187 countries and regions. Overseas attendance alone rose 10.91% year-on-year, reaching 56,794 visitors — a historic high that highlights CIFF’s role in strengthening foreign trade and stimulating market activity.

The fair was held in two phases, encompassing all major segments of the industry. Key sections included Home Furniture, Office & Commercial Space, and CIFM/interzum guangzhou — all of which emphasized sustainable growth, digital transformation, and design-led innovation.

Home Furniture: Merging tech, nature, and lifestyle

Under the theme Navigation, the Home Furniture section explored future living through a blend of aesthetic innovation and smart solutions. Focus areas included eco-friendly materials, intelligent sleep systems, and outdoor living concepts. Immersive installations and forums reflected a growing market interest in sustainable design and personalized interior environments.

Office & Commercial Space: Redefining modern work

With a spotlight on Sustainability, this sector brought forward AI-driven, ergonomic, and low-carbon workspace innovations. Solutions for educational and healthcare environments also featured prominently, reflecting demand for adaptive and wellness-focused design. Experiential displays and expert panels deepened discussions on the future of flexible and efficient commercial spaces.

CIFM/interzum guangzhou: Boosting intelligent manufacturing

Presented under the theme Engine of New Productivity, this segment focused on automation, smart manufacturing, and green production. It attracted global suppliers and manufacturers, showcasing new materials and technologies aligned with industrial upgrading and environmental goals.

Design exhibitions and forums: Driving dialogue and innovation

This year’s edition featured 12 curated exhibitions and over 100 forums, making CIFF Guangzhou a cultural and intellectual focal point for the sector. The Contemporary Design Fair served as a platform for international exchange, while the CD Awards recognized standout achievements in creativity and furniture innovation. Key summits — including the World Design Summit, China-Europe Summit of Interiors Designers Associations, and China-ASEAN Furniture Leadership Conference — facilitated industry-wide discourse. Emerging themes such as smart healthcare and medical furniture attracted increased attention, indicating new growth opportunities in elder care design.

As CIFF Guangzhou 2025 concluded, organizers emphasized the fair’s role not only as a marketplace but as a platform for transformation. “We will continue to adapt to the evolving market and bring new thinking to the industry,” organizers stated, signaling a commitment to driving change ahead of next year’s edition.
