Uzbekistan finances construction of Class A logistics center in Kyrgyzstan

A strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan has taken a concrete step forward with the signing of a credit agreement to construct a state-of-the-art Class A logistics center in Bishkek. The Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund has committed financing for this ambitious infrastructure project, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the regional transport and logistics network.

The credit agreement was formally signed between the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and Belor-Stroy LLC, a Kyrgyz construction company, setting the stage for the development of a modern logistics complex that will meet international standards. The facility will be constructed on a 1.7-hectare site in the Kyrgyz capital, strategically positioned to serve as a key node in the country’s evolving logistics infrastructure.

Technical specifications and employment impact

The Class A designation ensures the facility will incorporate cutting-edge technology and meet stringent international quality and safety standards. Such complexes typically feature ceiling heights ranging from 10 to 18 meters, specialized flooring with high load-bearing capacity and anti-dust properties, advanced climate control systems, comprehensive fire protection including automatic alarms and sprinkler systems, and wide access roads with adequate docking facilities.

The project is expected to generate 31 new employment opportunities while offering rental options for both pallet storage spaces and office facilities to support various business operations. The center will incorporate automated warehouse management systems, enabling real-time monitoring and control of all logistics processes while minimizing human error factors.

Market implications for international business

This development represents a significant opportunity for international companies operating in Central Asia. The Class A logistics facility will provide enhanced storage and distribution capabilities, offering international brands and suppliers a professional platform to expand their presence in the Kyrgyz market and use it as a regional distribution hub.

For foreign manufacturers and traders, this facility opens new possibilities for efficient supply chain management across Central Asia. The modern infrastructure will enable better inventory management, faster order processing, and improved quality control — critical factors for international brands looking to maintain their standards while expanding into emerging markets. The project also signals growing cross-border cooperation in the region, which typically translates into more favorable business conditions and increased trade volumes, creating additional opportunities for foreign investment and partnership development.
