In the year 2021, the amount of newly built or renovated hospital facilities in Russia reached 3,242 persons of capacity. This represents a 17.9% decrease year-over-year. Of this amount, the lions share of 95% was new construction, while only 5% was commissioned as renovated facilities.
Most of this total, approximately 98%, were hospitals in urban area. The share of kids hospitals, newly built or renovated, amounted to 13%.
The number of newly built or renovated hospitals is a key factor shaping the demand for medical furniture and other similar equipment for hospital wards and rooms.
