Down by 11.1% in real terms

(+3%) Sales of Manufactured Goods • RUS • Jan-Dec 2022/21

From January to December 2022, sales of manufactured goods in the Russian retail reached approximately 21,481 billion rubles. This represents a 2.7% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

Taking into account the price index, sales volume dynamics in real terms (adjusted for inflation) amounts to minus 11.1% in the reporting period.

The share of manufactured goods within total retail sales in Russia amounted to 50.5% in the period under review. This is 2.5% lower than a year ago.

We are tracking the indicator of sales of manufactured goods more closely, particularly its performance by various Russian regions, within our extended Market Reports.

The so-called operational data provided here is a preliminary estimate, made by the Federal Statistical Service of Russia immediately after the reporting month. Statistical reports of a number of enterprises are sometimes delayed, which affects the estimation accuracy. That’s why this preliminary estimate is subject to change once the final annual report is ready and published by Rosstat. The updated numbers and most actual data shall be included into our extended Market Reports.
