From January to December 2021, the average number of employees for the full range of furniture manufacturing enterprises in Russia (excluding external part-timers) reached 124 109 persons. This represents a 7.1% increase to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The share of medium and large enterprises amounted to 45.7%, with 56 715 persons of staff. This average is an equivalent of 11.2% increase year-over-year.
The employment indicator at the Russian furniture factories hit its lowest levels during the pandemic year of 2020 and starts to recover in 2021. The updated numbers and most actual data shall be included into our extended Market Reports.
