Foreign Internet companies have paid more than $4 million in taxes in Uzbekistan since the beginning of 2022

Foreign Internet companies paid 44.8 billion soums (over $4 million) in taxes in Uzbekistan. This is twice as much as last year, the State Tax Committee noted. Of this total, 98% of taxes were paid by ten companies: Meta, Google, Apple, Booking.com, Netflix, Xsolla, Yandex, Paddle.com, LinkedIn, Adobe Systems.

The volume of services rendered by foreign companies in Uzbekistan for 11 months of this year amounted to over $20 million, which is almost twice as much as last year. As of December 1, 2022, 40 foreign companies are registered in Uzbekistan providing electronic services on the territory of the republic. Over the past two years, their number has doubled.
