spoga+gafa 2026 reports strong demand in its Living theme world ahead of the trade fair’s June 22–24 edition in Cologne. Bookings for this exhibition area, which encompasses outdoor decoration, furniture and shading solutions, signal growing market interest in stylishly designed outdoor living spaces.
Theme world restructuring
The Living theme world continues the event’s development toward clearer, more focused offerings. The outdoor furniture section has been restructured as a curated exhibition space, while Asia–sourcing products are now bundled as the “Garden Sourcing Hub.” spoga+gafa also introduces a new “Outdoor Adventure” section as an experiential area dedicated to exercise, balance and adventure.
This restructuring aims to enhance visitor orientation and increase the efficiency of trade fair participation, enabling more targeted networking opportunities for the international business community.
Strong international presence
The event’s exhibitor landscape reflects extensive international participation. Participants in the Decoration section include Capi Europe, Edelman, Esschert Design, IDeL, Nuova Deroma, Prosperplast, Scheurich and Teraplast, while the Outdoor Furniture and Shading section features companies such as Brafab, doppler, 4 Seasons Outdoor, Hartman, Kettler Home & Garden, Platinum, Sieger, SUNSIT, Tierra Outdoor and Zebra.
Claudia Maurer, Director of spoga+gafa, commented on the demand: “With its focus on decorative design and new lifestyle perspectives, spoga+gafa showcases how outdoor spaces are defined as a combination between design, comfort and nature today. The high demand confirms that our offerings are meeting the current market demands and further reinforces our role as a driving force in the industry.”
Beyond the Living theme world, strong interest extends to the “Creation & Care” section, alongside the BBQs and Outdoor Adventure segments, rounding out the fair’s comprehensive garden industry offering.
Future evolution and new initiatives
Beginning in 2027, spoga+gafa will shift to a September date, aligning more closely with the business cycles of garden retailers, garden centres and DIY stores. This timing adjustment creates more optimal planning and ordering conditions for participants in the Living and BBQs theme worlds.
Part of the event’s ongoing evolution includes reimagined hall concepts. The organisers are considering the launch of “Object.Europe,” a special exhibition area for premium outdoor living brands to be curated by H.O.M.E. publisher Angelika Müller. “As a multiplier, we aim to support spoga+gafa in creating a new platform for high–quality European design and in setting fresh impulses for the industry,” Müller stated.
