Carpet networks evolve toward curated quality

12-15 Jan 2027 • Heimtextil

Heimtextil 2027 will sharpen the Carpets & Rugs segment with a new structure and an additional premium area, positioning Frankfurt as the smartly connected hub for the global carpet industry from 12 to 15 January 2027.[1][6]

By aligning Carpets & Rugs more closely with distribution channels and integrating carpet suppliers into Heimtextil’s established product worlds, the trade fair aims to make business matching and sourcing more efficient for manufacturers, retailers, industry and contract business.[1]

Manufacturers benefit from additional business opportunities and new contacts, while buyers gain direct access to complete interior solutions that link carpets with decorative and furniture fabrics, interior design concepts and volume business offerings.[1][2] “Our aim is to reflect the needs of the entire carpet market as effectively as possible. Together with the industry, we continuously develop Carpets & Rugs and create an even more targeted business platform for manufacturers, brands and buyers worldwide,” says Bettina Bär, Director Heimtextil.[1] “The strong participation once again confirms Heimtextil’s relevance as the home of the global carpet industry in Frankfurt.”[1]

Carpets & Rugs aligned with distribution channels

The redefined Carpets & Rugs segment responds directly to current market requirements and strengthens networking across purchasing and distribution channels.[1][6] It connects holistic interior concepts for specialist retailers, solutions for hospitality and contract projects, and offerings for the international volume business, giving buyers direct access to complete interior solutions within one show.[1][2]

As one of the strongest pillars of Heimtextil, Carpets & Rugs will continue to serve as a central meeting point for the global carpet industry, offering worldwide reach, high visibility and cross-selling potential beyond specialised carpet buyers.[2] Exhibitors can meet existing customers and connect with new contacts from adjacent business fields, leveraging the integrated hall layout for maximum impact at the start of the season.[2]

Expanded hall layout and global exhibitor base

Machine-made carpets as well as suppliers of fibres, yarns and technologies will present their portfolios in Hall 3.1, located alongside Decorative & Furniture Fabrics with direct access to specialist retailers and contract business.[1][4][6] This proximity is designed to encourage new business constellations and to link textile surfaces with floor coverings in a more targeted way.

In Hall 3.0, hand-knotted one-off pieces, premium doormats and flooring solutions will expand the area Interior Design Concepts: Windows, Wall & Floor, adding holistic interior concepts that span from window treatments to wall design and flooring.[1][4] Here, interior designers, architects and project planners will find coordinated solutions for residential and contract spaces.

Halls 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 will serve as the meeting place for volume manufacturers and major buyers from around the world, complementing the offering with handwoven and machine-made carpets at scale.[1][4][6] This concentration of high-volume suppliers is intended to support efficient sourcing for international retail groups and distribution partners.

Numerous market leaders and renowned brands have already confirmed their participation in the Carpets & Rugs segment for 2027, including Agnee Innovates, Balta Industries, Bhadohi Carpets, Choudhary Exports, Fibre World, Hafizia Arts & Crafts, Heritage Overseas, Jaipur Rugs, Looms & Knots, Merinos, Oriental Weavers with EFCO and MAC, Qayyum Exports, Ragolle Rugs, Rudra Rugs, Rugs INC., Unlimited Style Rugs, Teppich de Orienta and Verbatex.[1] Their presence underlines the international breadth of the offering and the role of Heimtextil as a platform for both established brands and ambitious players in the carpet sector.[1][2]

Premium platform for high-volume quality suppliers

With Carpets & Rugs Excellence, Heimtextil 2027 will introduce a focused premium segment in Hall 11.0 dedicated to selected international volume manufacturers from the carpet industry.[1][4][6] This new area targets companies that combine industrial capacity with a strong emphasis on design and product quality.

The companies showcased in Carpets & Rugs Excellence will be chosen by an independent jury of experts and stand for high-quality products, excellent workmanship and strong manufacturing expertise.[1][4][6] The curated selection is intended to bring greater transparency to the market and make it easier for buyers to identify suitable partners.

Designed as a central meeting point for buyers from retail, hospitality and contract business, Carpets & Rugs Excellence will support decision-makers who are searching for quality-oriented carpet suppliers able to handle order volumes of every scale.[1][6] By creating a clearly defined premium environment, the segment provides guidance for global sourcing decisions and highlights suppliers that can reliably deliver both large series and customised solutions.

The introduction of Carpets & Rugs Excellence underscores Heimtextil’s commitment to quality and further reinforces Carpets & Rugs as one of the fair’s key pillars.[1][2] Combined with the new hall structure and strong international participation, the segment aims to offer the global carpet industry a more efficient, market-oriented and connected start to the 2027 season in Frankfurt.[1][6]
