Heimtextil 2026 will introduce an optimized hall structure designed to respond to evolving market demands in the textile industry. The international trade fair for home and contract textiles, scheduled for January 13-16, 2026 in Frankfurt am Main, aims to leverage growth potential through strategic product group combinations following a successful 2025 edition that recorded increases in both visitor and exhibitor participation.
“Heimtextil 2025 was characterized by increased internationality and demand. In 2026, we are using this strong starting position to align the range even more closely with the needs of all trade fair participants by strategically selecting and combining relevant product groups – and thus to leverage further growth potential,” says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt.
The restructured concept reinforces Heimtextil’s position as the leading industry platform for holistic textile and non-textile interior design. The new arrangement creates overlapping visitor target groups, enabling exhibitors to increase their reach and connect with potential new customers while providing buyers with enhanced access to relevant business partners.
Consolidated Interior Design Hub
The new center for high-quality textile and non-textile interior design will occupy halls 3.0, 3.1 and 4.1. Hall 3.0 will feature Interior Design Concepts covering window, wall and floor solutions, including wallpaper, digital printing, textile editors, curtains, floor coverings and sun protection systems. This combination targets interior decorators, designers, DIY stores and specialist retailers seeking comprehensive interior concepts.
Adjacent halls 3.1 and 4.1 will complement this offering with the largest international range of decorative and upholstery fabrics, contract textiles, imitation leathers, outdoor textiles, fibers and yarns. The Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Library in Hall 3.1 and a design installation by Patricia Urquiola in Hall 3.0 will serve as content hubs for designers, architects and hospitality decision-makers.
Enhanced Sleep and Living Segments
Hall 4.0 will house Smart Bedding, presenting bedding, blankets, pillows, mattresses, sleep systems, fibers and yarns. The proximity to Bed, Bath & Living in halls 5.0, 5.1, 6.0 and 6.1 creates efficient pathways for bed retailers and hospitality industry decision-makers. These areas will showcase bed linen, bathroom textiles, table and kitchen linen, decorative pillows and home accessories.
A notable addition for 2026 is the placement of Textile Design in Hall 6.1, where design studios and CAD/CAM suppliers will operate alongside the Heimtextil Trends 26/27 presentation, facilitating alignment between current designs and future collections.
Expanded Flooring Platform
The Carpets & Rugs segment, which tripled exhibitor participation in 2025, gains additional growth opportunities through the hall restructuring. The segment will be complemented by the new Flooring & Equipment category, combining textile and non-textile floor coverings to maximize synergies for architects, interior designers, DIY stores, specialist retailers and craft professionals.
Halls 11.0 and 12.0 will feature machine-woven and hand-woven carpets, hand-knotted pieces, unique items and floor mats. The adjacent Flooring & Equipment segment in Hall 12.0 will display elastic floor coverings, design floor coverings, cork, laminate, parquet and outdoor solutions, supported by specialized business-promoting presentations.
Global Home Concepts Maintained
The established Global Home concept will continue in halls 8.0 and 9.1, with Global Home Excellence in Hall 9.0, positioned near the Galleria and Torhaus entrances. The format expands to include halls 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3, where international manufacturers and country pavilions will present comprehensive product ranges. The connection to Carpets & Rugs and Flooring & Equipment strengthens Heimtextil’s position as Europe’s largest sourcing platform for high-quality home textiles.
