CIFM / interzum guangzhou 2025 concluded successfully from 28 to 31 March at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, reinforcing its position as Asia’s key platform for the upstream furniture manufacturing industry. Covering 180,000 square metres, the exhibition hosted over 1,500 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and welcomed 220,932 trade visitors, a 2.68% increase from 2024. Notably, international visitor numbers grew 3.66% year-on-year, highlighting rising global engagement.
Collaboration at the Core
Under the theme “Play Bigger”, this year’s edition showcased a strong synergy among global players. Over 240 leading international brands participated, with strong representation from EUMABOIS and exhibitor delegations from Germany and Turkey. Organisations such as the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), American Softwoods, Quebec Wood Export Bureau (QWEB), and the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) returned with notable showcases of advanced technologies, sustainable adhesives, engineered panels, premium hardware, innovative materials, and high-performance fabrics.
“The experience at interzum guangzhou has consistently supported our industry’s growth,” said John Chan, regional director for Southeast Asia and Greater China at AHEC. Xinxin Gao, general manager of Schattdecor China, emphasized the value of connecting with clients from Southeast Asia, the Asia-Pacific, and Belt and Road countries: “It was a pleasure to reconnect with old acquaintances, forge new relationships and identify potential customers.”
Over 200 targeted business matching sessions fostered collaborations between exhibitors and key buyers such as Admira, Airland, Alian Furniture, Aukey, Bell Laminates, Dynamic Furniture, Ellesime, Goldinjaya, homechoice, Hup Chong Furniture, Indofitting, Interior D, Kelisen, LA-OR, Muar Industries, Pan Timur, Sibling Home, SIRO, TKL Gallery, Triple W Furniture, United Woodwork, vifa and Wood Solid. Delegations from the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC), Rede PRÓ (Brazil), and Guangdong industry chambers also praised the diversity of products and networking opportunities.

Ideas Fueling Change
Beyond product showcases, a rich programme of forums and awards fostered forward-looking dialogue. The interzum guangzhou Award recognised 15 outstanding innovations in technology, design, and materials. The VSIL Forum, themed “Design Utopia”, and the Boundless Innovation Forum further explored new realities and emerging trends, strengthening ties between design and manufacturing and offering insights into the decorative panel segment.
The successful conclusion of CIFM / interzum guangzhou 2025 highlights the industry’s ongoing shift from volume-based production to innovation-driven, sustainable growth. The next edition will take place from 28 to 31 March 2026 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou.
