The second edition of interzum forum italy will take place on 4-5 June 2026 at the Bergamo Exhibition Center, building on the success of its inaugural edition that attracted 216 exhibitors from 24 countries and 4,820 professional visitors from 52 countries. The biennial trade show, themed “Beyond the Furniture Towards the Future,” will provide industry professionals with a comprehensive platform for networking and knowledge exchange across the design spectrum.
The event will maintain its focused approach on three core sectors: Function & Components, Materials & Nature, and Textiles & Machinery. However, the 2026 edition expands its scope to include emerging applications in recreational vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, and marine interiors, reflecting the growing convergence of design concepts across these sectors. This cross-sectional approach addresses the increasing relevance of interior design solutions for subcontractors operating in these specialized markets.
Surface innovation and digital transformation
Surfaces will receive particular attention as they undergo significant transformation in both design and production processes. The integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital printing, is reshaping manufacturing approaches while maintaining the essential sensory and textural qualities that define premium materials. The intersection of physical and digital dimensions presents new pathways for applied innovation in interior design and manufacturing.
Professional partnerships and conference program
Strategic partnerships with the Professional Architects’ Associations of Milan and Bergamo will ensure qualified professional attendance, with association members participating in preparatory activities and introductory webinars. The conference schedule will address market dynamics following recent trade tariff implementations, interior design trends across residential and transportation sectors, sustainability reporting requirements, and AI-enabled design processes.
Knowledge partners including AIPI, EBIA, NBF, EFIC, CSIL, CATAS, and Digital Innovation Observatories from Politecnico di Milano will contribute specialized presentations. The event will introduce the interzum forum italy award recognizing excellence in Innovation and ESG & Sustainability categories. A structured matchmaking program will facilitate direct business meetings between exhibitors and buyers from furniture, yachting, shipbuilding, and transportation sectors.
