In a strategic response to feedback from its stakeholders, the spoga+gafa trade fair, renowned as the world’s largest event for the garden and BBQ sectors, is adjusting its operational calendar. Historically commencing on a Sunday, the fair will now take place from Tuesday to Thursday, starting with its next iteration on June 24 to 26, 2025, in Cologne.
This scheduling shift stems from extensive consultations with national and international exhibitors and visitor groups, who expressed a preference for excluding Sunday as a start day. The change is aimed at providing a more convenient and efficient experience, allowing participants ample time to prepare and optimize their travel plans to the fair.
Sebastian Rosito, Vice President Trade Fair of Koelnmesse, emphasized the fair’s commitment to its attendees, stating, “We have taken the feedback of our exhibitors and visitors seriously and decided to alter the schedule to further improve the trade fair experience and the trade fair success of all parties involved.”
The recent 2024 edition of spoga+gafa, held from June 16 to 18, drew approximately 28,000 trade visitors from 113 countries, maintaining its status as a pivotal event for the global garden industry. The fair’s ongoing success and the proactive change in schedule underscore its central role and adaptability within the sector, continuing to meet the evolving needs of its global audience.
