Elevating textile design and innovation with expanded offerings and new partnerships

14-17 Jan 2025 • Heimtextil

Heimtextil is set to kick off the new business year with over 2,900 exhibitors from 60 countries, presenting the latest trends, collections, and textile innovations from January 14 to 17 in Frankfurt. Known as the world’s largest trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil 2025 expands its focus, offering an enhanced platform for the global textile industry while spotlighting textile interior design like never before.

A key highlight for this edition is the introduction of the Milan-based design platform Alcova, which will curate the Heimtextil Trends 25/26 under the theme ‘Future Continuous.’ Alcova will bring a fresh perspective by blending past and future design influences, offering insights into visionary and sustainable textile developments. These trend presentations will serve as essential touchpoints for both retailers and industry professionals.

Adding further excitement, internationally acclaimed designer Patricia Urquiola will unveil her immersive installation ‘among-us,’ which integrates textile design into hospitality and interior settings. This installation will take center stage in the Bed, Bath & Living area of Hall 12.0, where major exhibitors like Beddinghouse, Lameirinho, and Marzotto Lab will also showcase premium bed and bathroom textiles, decorative cushions, and home accessories.

In addition to these design-centric features, the event will host the Carpets & Rugs section, which is expanding across multiple hall levels to accommodate growing demand. Exhibitors from across the globe—including ABC Italia, Jaipur Rugs, and Oriental Weavers—will showcase everything from hand-woven carpets to machine-made designs, marking Heimtextil as the global hub for the carpet industry.

The Smart Bedding area in Hall 11.0 will be another focal point, featuring the latest products related to sleep, including innovative bedding systems and mattresses. Leading brands such as Billerbeck, Hefel Textil, and Lenzing AG will present their cutting-edge solutions in this rapidly growing sector.

Heimtextil will also offer a strong focus on knowledge exchange, with the Texpertise Stage addressing key industry topics such as sustainability, legislation, and flexible hospitality concepts. Meanwhile, the Retail Stage will provide retailers with a tailored program of interactive sessions and expert panel discussions, aimed at equipping them with insights to navigate the evolving market.

Sustainability remains a central theme, as Heimtextil introduces Econogy, a concept that links sustainability to economic success. This initiative will include a curated list of exhibitors who meet ESG/SDG standards, offering visitors a focused pathway to discover companies championing sustainable practices through the Econogy FINDER tool and guided tours.

Heimtextil 2025 not only reinforces its position as a reliable global platform for textiles but also pushes the envelope on design, sustainability, and business innovation, offering a comprehensive experience for professionals across the textile, interior, and design industries.
