With 30 days to go before the gates open, the countdown has started for the 2022 edition of Xylexpo, the biennial international exhibition of technology for the wood and furniture industry to be held at Fieramilano-Rho next October 12-15, concurrently with 33.BI MU and Viscom Italia.
The sales of exhibition space closed several days ago: “This year, we preferred to avoid dispersion, doing our best to place all exhibitors in two halls, avoiding “appendixes” that are less appealing to visitors”, said Dario Corbetta, exhibition manager. “We considered that this Xylexpo would be different from the past, for the reasons we all know, and we made decisions to support the quality of the event rather than the sales of exhibition area. As a result, we have a long waiting list of companies that – having delayed their decision to participate for too long – will not be able to join us in October”.
Halls 22 and 24, with a total occupied surface of 36 thousand square meters, will host 280 exhibitors from Italy and all over the world, presenting a comprehensive portfolio that includes all the most advanced technologies from primary operation to surface finishing. “We know that, just like any other exhibition in this period, we will have to face smaller numbers and new needs, starting from our initiative “Xylexpo Digital”. Our offer is tangible and easily accessible even after the end of the show: we will have a real TV channel – Corbetta added – that, during the first three exhibition days from Wednesday 12 to Friday 14, will allow anyone to attend the Xylexpo Arena events from a distance, as well as visit the stand of the exhibitors who decided to take part in this project. With our crews moving around the booths, we will offer live streaming coverage with “guided tours” portraying meetings, opinions, products and atmosphere”.
Quite clearly, after the recent lockdowns, visitors are looking forward to a “physical” experience: early data from the preregistration service – easily accessible from the exhibition website to register and enter the fair premises with no delays – indicate that the event in Milan is eagerly awaited by a high-quality audience, aware that, once again, Xylexpo will be a showcase of the best technology for wood and wood-based materials.
