GDP per capita increased by 3.5%

(+5.7%) Real GDP • UZB • Annual Change 2022/21

In 2022, Uzbekistan’s real gross domestic product increased by 5.7% compared to the previous year. The GDP value of the period under review (888,342 billion soums in current prices) was adjusted by price deflator 113.8%.  The annual GDP per capita reached 24,920 soums, up by 3.5% to a year ago.

During the reporting period, the growth of value added has been shown by all industries: information and communication (+24.6%), accommodation and food services (+13.1%), transportation and storage (+11.5%), wholesale and retail trade (+8.9%), other services (+6.6%), construction (+6.6%), manufacturing industries (+5.3%).

The weighted average of the currency exchange rates was 11,051.2 UZS for 1 USD in the current period under review.

These preliminary GDP estimates made by The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics are subject to change later on. The updated numbers and most actual data shall be included into our extended Market Reports.
