In the third quarter of 2022, Uzbekistan’s real gross domestic product increased by 6.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. The GDP value of the period under review (237,846 billion Uzbek soums in current prices) was adjusted by price deflator 111.8%.
The increase in Uzbekistan’s real GDP was secured by the growth of all its components. In certain industries, the increase in value added was above the average: transportation and storage, information and communication (+16%), trade, accommodation and food services (+8.1%), other branches of services (+8.3%).
Since the beginning of the year, the real GDP of Uzbekistan increased by 5.8%.
These preliminary GDP estimates made by The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics are subject to change later on. The updated numbers and most actual data shall be included into our extended Market Reports.
