From January to May 2022, the furniture production volume in Uzbekistan reached 923 billion soums. This represents a 12.2% increase to the corresponding period of the previous year in current prices, not adjusted for inflation.
The reported amount is an equivalent of 84 million USD. The average currency exchange rate was 11,052.35 UZS for 1 USD since the beginning of the year, and 11,113.26 UZS for 1 USD in the recent month reported. Furniture production in physical terms (units) decreased by 3.4% year-over-year in the period under review.
In May itself, the monthly production volume was up by 109.2% compared with the same period a year ago.
