Uzbekistan’s Fergana region delegation secures construction materials partnerships in China

A business delegation from Uzbekistan’s Fergana region has successfully concluded a series of strategic meetings in China, securing concrete partnership agreements that promise to reshape the region’s industrial landscape. Led by Deputy Hokim Nuriddin Mamazhonov, the delegation’s visit to the People’s Republic of China has yielded tangible results in key economic sectors.

The centerpiece of the visit was a comprehensive round table and business-to-business negotiations held in Tianjin, bringing together approximately 30 companies from both countries. During these intensive sessions, Fergana region officials presented a detailed showcase of their territory’s trade and economic potential, highlighting opportunities for Chinese investors and partners.

The negotiations have crystallized into specific cooperation agreements focusing on two critical areas: the production of modern construction materials and the expansion of agricultural and food product exports. These partnerships represent a strategic alignment between China’s manufacturing expertise and Uzbekistan’s growing industrial ambitions.

A significant milestone of the visit was the formal signing of a cooperation agreement with the Tianjin New Building Materials Association. This partnership is expected to serve as a foundation for broader economic ties, potentially opening new channels for technology transfer and joint ventures in the construction materials sector.

For international companies in the furniture, construction, and interior manufacturing sectors, these developments signal expanding opportunities in Uzbekistan’s Fergana region. The new partnerships with Chinese firms specializing in modern building materials could create supply chain synergies and technology transfer opportunities.
