Saudi company to construct two solar power plants and energy storage systems in Uzbekistan

Saudi company ACWA Power will build two solar power plants with a total capacity of 1.4 GW and energy storage systems with a capacity of 800 MW in the Tashkent and Samarkand regions of Uzbekistan. In the Bukhara region, an energy storage system with a capacity of 400 MW will be built. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan. Investment agreements and power purchase agreements were signed with ACWA Power on March 4th.
