Latvia is going to become a transport hub for cargo transportation between Asia and Scandinavia

Rinalds Plavnieks, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas dzelzceļš, and Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, agreed on cooperation in the repair of rolling stock and locomotives, as well as on electrification issues. With regard to cargo transportation, Latvia hopes to become a consolidating country in the transport system of the Middle Corridor in the future between Asia and Scandinavia.
