Kazakhstan seeks investors for the construction of a logistics hub near Almaty

Kazakhstan intends to build a large trade and logistics hub along the new bypass railway line being constructed in Almaty. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstan Railways, Erlan Koishibayev, at a business conference. According to him, the new logistics facility will increase the flow of transit goods traveling along the “Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran” route and in the opposite direction. The construction of a cargo airport is also possible.

The probable start date of construction and the approximate cost of the project will be known after the completion of the technical and economic feasibility study. However, Kazakhstan has already begun to seek investors for the project.
