International Monetary Fund confirms support of Uzbekistan for its accession to the WTO

The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, the head of the Negotiating Group on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, Badriddin Abidov, with the Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Uzbekistan, Kevin Ross.

The Uzbek side provided information on the work done in the framework of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO and the upcoming priorities to accelerate this process in 2023.

Following the meeting, the IMF Resident Representative confirmed his readiness to continue providing comprehensive support to further advance the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
