The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, suggested that French entrepreneurs create a trade representative office in the republic. He stated this at a meeting with major businessmen of France, where he is on an official visit.
“I would also like to encourage French companies to explore the investment opportunities of our country. I want to assure all those present that Kazakhstan guarantees a safe and stable investment environment,” Tokayev stressed.
The day before, the head of Kazakhstan met with President Emmanuel Macron, noting that 90 percent of France’s trade with Central Asia falls on Kazakhstan. Over the past 9 months, bilateral trade turnover has reached $2.5 billion, up 12% from last year. In the six months of this year, Kazakhstan received about $15 billion in investments from foreign partners, which is 30% more than in 2021.
