Amara Group and Koelnmesse GmbH have announced a strategic integration of four of Indonesia’s most influential furniture and materials trade fairs, uniting them under one coordinated platform beginning in September 2026. The co-located events will take place from 23 to 27 September 2026 across two venues in Jakarta — the newly opened Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) and JIExpo Kemayoran — creating a comprehensive business platform that covers the complete furniture industry value chain from upstream materials to downstream design and market-ready solutions.
The integration brings together IFFINA+, the annual flagship furniture event of the Indonesian Furniture Industry and Handicraft Association (ASMINDO), which will now operate under the new name IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne. The platform also includes interzum jakarta, Indonesia’s leading materials and interior production solutions event; IFMAC WOODMAC, the country’s premier woodworking machinery showcase; and the International Hardware Fair Indonesia. Collectively, these events form the Indonesia Materials, Manufacturing & Furniture Connect ecosystem.
Unified Value Chain Approach
The aligned platform reflects how the furniture industry operates across its entire supply chain. Interzum jakarta represents the upstream segment, focusing on materials, components, surfaces, fittings, and interior production solutions. IFMAC WOODMAC covers the midstream manufacturing segment, showcasing machinery, manufacturing systems, and production technologies. At the downstream, market-facing end, IFFINA+ powered by imm cologne serves as the key platform for finished furniture, design, and lifestyle products. The International Hardware Fair Indonesia extends the ecosystem into broader hardware and hand tool solutions.
“This alignment brings together key industry platforms in a way that reflects how the furniture industry operates today,” said Dedy Rochimat, Chairman of ASMINDO. “It supports business development and international market access through a coordinated, end-to-end industry platform.”
Strategic Positioning and Regional Impact
The initiative marks a significant development for Indonesia’s furniture sector and the wider Asia-Pacific region. According to Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Regional President Asia Pacific at Koelnmesse Pte Ltd, “With strong support from ASMINDO, this initiative strengthens Indonesia’s position as an increasingly important manufacturing and sourcing hub, while providing international and regional players with a highly relevant platform for business development, knowledge exchange, and long-term collaboration.”
For the design community, the ecosystem format supports closer collaboration between creative and industrial disciplines. Adi Surya Triwibowo, Chairman of the Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII) 2024-2027, noted that “By connecting design, materials, and production within one coordinated industry week, this platform encourages more effective collaboration across the value chain.”
Enhanced Programming and Industry Engagement
Beyond the exhibition floors, the aligned events will be complemented by curated programmes including industry forums, expert-led discussions, sustainability-focused sessions, and cross-sector knowledge exchange. The unified platform is positioned as a strategic opportunity for exhibitors and visitors to engage with decision-makers, industry professionals, and emerging talent across the entire furniture ecosystem.
