Carpets & Rugs expands with new halls and innovative highlights

14-17 Jan 2025 • Heimtextil

Carpets & Rugs at Heimtextil 2025 is set to reach new heights with expanded exhibition space, fresh content formats, and strategic partnerships. Taking place from January 14–17 in Frankfurt, the segment will now span multiple hall levels, bringing together over 300 exhibitors, including key players and innovators from across the globe.

Expanded Exhibition Space

In response to rising demand, Carpets & Rugs will extend into additional halls, including Hall 5.0, alongside the established Hall 5.1. It will also occupy Hall 3.0, complementing product groups like Wall Decoration, Textile Design, and Heimtextil Trends 25/26. Exhibitors such as Bhadohi Carpet (India), Merinos (Turkey), and Brink & Campman (Netherlands) will showcase machine- and hand-woven carpets alongside unique designs from brands like Satar Carpet (Germany).

Introducing the ‘Belgian Textiles’ Area

A key highlight of Heimtextil 2025 is the debut of the ‘Belgian Textiles – powered by Fedustria’ area in Hall 5.1. Organized by Fedustria in collaboration with Ragolle Rugs, this section will feature 14 Belgian companies renowned for craftsmanship, innovative technologies, and sustainable materials. Participating exhibitors include Louis de Poortere, Mercury Flooring, and Vandewiele.

Daphne Renier, Product Manager Textiles at Fedustria, emphasized the importance of Heimtextil for the Belgian textile industry: “Heimtextil provides a global platform where Belgian carpet manufacturers can showcase their products to a diverse audience, strengthen industry ties, and meet new partners and clients. It promotes economic growth and positions Belgian carpets as leaders in quality and design.”

A Business and Knowledge Platform

Carpets & Rugs will feature an extensive content program, cementing its role as a hub for innovation and industry insights. The Carpet Lounge in the foyer of Halls 5.1/6.1, curated by British Cover Magazine, will offer networking opportunities and showcase innovative carpet designs.

The Texpertise Stage in Hall 4.0 will host expert talks and panel discussions, covering topics such as sustainable practices, fair trade, and emerging technologies like AI in carpet design. Renowned speakers include Aditya Gupta of The Rug Republic, Theresa Paulig of Paulig Teppichweberei, and Reto Aschwanden of Label STEP.

Guided tours led by Cover Magazine will provide insights into standout exhibitors and industry best practices, complementing additional tours in the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality segment.

With its expanded scale and enriched programming, Carpets & Rugs at Heimtextil 2025 is poised to deliver a globally unique platform for innovation, networking, and business growth in the carpet and rug industry.
