New strategic partnership aims to transform Middle East's exhibition landscape

Koelnmesse and dmg events join forces in the region

Two prominent players in the global exhibition market, Koelnmesse and dmg events, have recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the trade exhibition scene across the Middle East. This partnership aims to utilize their combined expertise to develop innovative and influential events tailored to the dynamic and diverse industries of the region.

Gerald Böse, President and CEO of Koelnmesse, shared his enthusiasm about the collaboration, “Koelnmesse is excited to collaborate with dmg events, the leading international organizer in the Middle East. Our shared vision is to extend our brands and events in the world’s fast-growing exhibition market. As the region’s ambitious plans drive industry growth and investment, our partnership will play a pivotal role in shaping the future.”

The strategic collaboration will focus on several key sectors:

  1. Sports, Build, and Leisure Facilities: Leveraging Koelnmesse’s renowned FSB, the leading trade fair for public spaces and sports facilities, and dmg’s expertise from their Sport, Leisure & Facilities Shows, this partnership aims to create premier exhibitions for sports infrastructure and recreational spaces.
  2. Office Design, Build & Fit-out: Combining the strengths of Koelnmesse’s ORGATEC and dmg’s Workspace, this initiative will introduce a specialized exhibition for office design and build, targeting architects, interior designers, and corporate decision-makers with the latest in sustainable designs and smart office solutions.
  3. Furniture and Fittings: Addressing the booming furniture market in the Middle East, this collaboration will feature exhibitions that highlight innovative designs and sustainable materials, supported by Koelnmesse’s extensive experience from events like imm cologne.
  4. Hardware & Tools: Building on Koelnmesse’s long-standing success with EISENWARENMESSE and Asia-Pacific Sourcing, the partnership will explore new opportunities in the hardware and tools sector.

Geoff Dickinson, Group CEO of dmg events, expressed his excitement, “We are thrilled to further expand our footprint in the Middle East by partnering with Koelnmesse. With over 35 successful annual events in the region, we are committed to adding value and building on our existing portfolios. Together, we will create exceptional experiences for exhibitors and visitors alike.”

This pioneering alliance aims to set new standards in the exhibition industry by driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and facilitating cross-border business connections throughout the Middle East.
