Agreements worth $1.6 billion signed at Uzbek-Kyrgyz business forum

A business forum with the participation of more than 350 representatives of business circles and officials was held on January 25, on the eve of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan.

Over 50 agreements worth $1.6 billion were signed at this Uzbek-Kyrgyz business forum in Bishkek, also covering industries such as textiles and building materials.

Over the past five years, trade between the two countries has increased sevenfold, to $1.2 billion in 2022. At the same time, the economies of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have sufficient potential to overcome the $2 billion mark in the near future.
