The inaugural idd cologne, a premium trade fair for exclusive interior design, is generating strong industry interest as it approaches its October debut. With sales progressing well and the early-bird booking period nearing completion, the new trade fair format has attracted confirmed participation from numerous renowned brands across the interior design sector.
Scheduled for October 26 to 29, 2025, idd cologne positions itself as a premium platform for interior design solutions spanning residential, hospitality, and contract segments. The event operates under the central theme “Shaping Homes & Hospitality,” focusing on exclusive interior design for both private residences and commercial spaces. Interested exhibitors have until the end of May to benefit from attractive early-bird offers.
Leading brands confirm participation
Cologne’s position as one of Europe’s leading furniture hotspots provides interior brands with strategic access to the European market through idd cologne. The trade fair offers companies seeking to establish or strengthen relationships with decision-makers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland valuable networking opportunities, supported by the established visitor numbers from Koelnmesse’s furniture portfolio.
The confirmed exhibitor list includes established names such as Bacher Tische, Bloom, Brühl Sippold, Bielefelder Werkstätten + IP, COR, F.Fertig Strässle, Jori, KFF, Mobitec, Möller Design, Müller Möfabr., Piure, raumplus, Rodam, Scholtissek, Schramm, Signet, Stern, Sudbrock, Thonet, and Werther.
“The current level of registrations reflects the high interest in the new format and demonstrates the need for a central platform for the premium segment in Germany,” said Maik Fischer, director of idd cologne. “We are confident that we will be able to secure further prestigious brands in the coming weeks.”
Urban program expansion
Parallel to exhibitor recruitment, preparations for idd cologne downtown are advancing. This accompanying program extends the trade fair experience into Cologne’s city center, with approximately 25 retailers, flagship stores, and design centers in the premium segment confirming participation. These partners are developing special promotions to coincide with the trade fair dates, creating a comprehensive design experience that extends beyond the traditional exhibition grounds into the urban environment.
